Darien Native Makes Fortune's Most Promising Women Entrepreneurs List

Darien native Kristy Lewis made Fortune’s Top 10 Most Promising Women Entrepreneurs list.
Lewis founded Quinn Foods, which reinvented the traditional synthetic microwave popcorn bag. Their bags are free of synthetic materials and are ocmpostable. They are also free of hydrogenated oils and are sold in many Whole Foods stores.
“It’s an incredible honor to be named one of Fortune’s Most Promising Women Entrepreneurs, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to meet and share ideas with such a distinguished community of women leaders at the Most Powerful Women Summit,” Lewis said.

Lewis was born and raised in Darien and graduated from Darien High School in 1999.
She also came up with Farm-to-Bag popcorn, which has a transparent supply chain.

“Knowing where your food comes from is fundamental, and it’s about time snack companies open up,” she said.
Quinn Popcorn has received numerous awards and went from a small startup to being sold in thousands of stores within a few years.
