Darien Offers Tax Relief During Coronavirus Pandemic
The application deadline is July 1, 2020.
DARIEN, CT — The town has made tax relief available for Darien taxpayers impacted by the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis, First Selectman Jayme Stevenson and Tax Collector Kathy Larkins announced.
On April 27, 2020 the Darien Representative Town Meeting adopted a resolution approving the deferment program as per Governor Lamont’s Executive Order 7S with eligibility criteria as set forth by the Office of Policy and Management. In order to qualify for this program, eligible taxpayers, businesses, nonprofits and residents are those that “attest to or document significant economic impact by COVID-19, and/or those that document they are providing relief to those significantly affected by COVID-19” through an application process.
Residents and business owners may obtain the application form on the Town’s website at www.darienct.gov. The application deadline is July 1, 2020.

Eligible taxpayers will be able to defer the payment of the following bills issued by the Darien Tax Office with original due dates between March 10, 2020 through and including July 1, 2020 for an additional 60 days without interest or penalties.

- April Installment of Sewer Service Due June 30, 2020
- July Installment of Taxes Due October 1, 2020
- July C-Pace Loan Payment Due October 1, 2020
