This photo from a postcard thought to have been published around 1920 is a view from a bridge, and the building to the right seems to be the same one now occupied by the Depot youth center today.
So perhaps this photo was taken from near the corner of Heights Road and Noroton Avenue.
Another possibility, however, is that this picture was taken from the bridge that takes Hollow Tree Ridge Road over the railroad tracks. The road barely visible to the left of the train station seems to be at just the spot where Heights Road would be located.
If that's the case, and if the building to the right is the Depot building of today (and it sure looks the same), then that building would have had to have been moved, somehow.
It's hard to believe that officials would have allowed the building to be somehow carted over the train tracks, because if it got stuck, the New Haven Line would have been a mess. It's almost as hard to believe it would have been carried over either of the two bridges next to the station.
