Darien P&Z Chair Resigns To Seek Board Of Ed Post

DARIEN, CT — John Sini, Jr., a six-year member of the Darien Planning & Zoning Commission and the group's most recent Chair, resigned from the post, effective July 31, and is seeking a seat on the Board of Education, writes the Darien Times.

The Republican received his party's nomination last month, as did Dorothy J. McCammon, who is seeking re-election to the Board of Education.

Patch reached out to Sini for comment but did not receive an immediate reply.

Three posts are up for election on the board, McCammon's, and those of Christa McNamara (she is running for Board of Selectmen instead) and Chair Tara Ochman, who is seeking re-election.
