Darien P&Z To Decide On East Lane Affordable Housing Plan: Report

The plan calls for building a dozen units in two buildings.

DARIEN, CT — A proposal to build a dozen affordable housing units at a complex on East Lane in Darien is slated for discussion and possible decision by the Planning and Zoning Commission next week, writes the Darien Times.

The Baywater Housing Partners, LLC plan is to tear down a single-family home and child care center at 26 East Lane and construct a two-building complex, with six units per building.

Instead of making the units available to anyone meeting certain income requirements, the units would be available only to developmentally disabled adults .
