Darien Panera Bread Location Scheduled to Close: Report

DARIEN, CT — The Darien Panera Bread location, at 1063 Boston Post Road, is scheduled to close at the end of the year, reports the Fairfield County Business Journal.

No explanation was given for the pending closure, but the storefront's owner, Greenwich Manor LLC, has been informed that Panera will not renew the lease which expires at the end of December, according to the publication.

This week, Panera Bread abruptly closed its Newtown location on South Main Street, reports the Danbury News-Times.

Again, no specific reason was given for the closure, but a sign on the door encourages customers to visit another Panera Bread location nearby, such as New Milford or Brookfield.

The chain also has locations in Norwalk, Danbury, Southbury, Westport, Fairfield, Milford, Derby and other Connecticut communities.
