Darien Police Marine Division helped pump out a boat that had been taking on water at the Darien Boat Club on May 30.

Police got a call that a boat in the harbor was possibly sinking.

The vessel was secured to the dock and was partially submerged when police arrived. All parties made it safely to land.

Officers used a gas-powered pump to remove water from the 21-foot vessel.

The owner said his brother disconnected the boat’s own pump for some reason and the vessel quickly began to take on water after hitting some waves.
