Darien PD Searches For Dog Owner Who Refused To Curb Her Canine

The incident occurred last week on Boston Post Road.

DARIEN, CT — A woman walks her two small dogs, and one of them defecates at a Boston Post Road property in Darien. A person asks the woman to clean up after her dog, she refuses, and an argument ensues.

And during the mini-fracas, one of the woman's dogs bites the complainant in the thigh.

That's the story, according to the Darien Animal Control Officer, who met with the complainant after the Nov. 6 incident. And now the police department is trying to find the dog owner.

The incident occurred at about 2:15 p.m. in the 300 block of Boston Post Road. The complainant was leaving his retail shop when he noticed the woman walking her dogs on the property, and the dog defecating about 25 feet from the road.

"The complainant approached the female and asked her to remove the feces, but she refused," wrote Darien police in a statement. "As the two argued, one of the dogs bit the complainant on the right thigh. When the complainant told the female that one of her dogs had bitten him, she turned and walked away. A bruise and puncture-wound was observed in the area where the complainant claimed he was bitten. The identity of the female is being investigated."
