Darien Police Anticipate Arrests in Pool Jumping Incidents

A home on upper Middlesex Road has been a longtime spot for teens looking to take a dip in a pool.

DARIEN, CT—Police anticipate arrests in two separate pool-jumping incidents at a home that has been a longtime spot for trespassing teens looking to take a dip.

The home on Middlesex Road has a large pool set back from the property that has been the spot of numerous trespassing events over a couple decades, according to police. The property is marked with no trespassing signs and is under video surveillance.

On Aug. 19 trespassers gained entry to the home's pool house and a $75 inflatable pool toy was destroyed.

On Aug. 27 caretakers of the home called police after seeing cars near the property. Officers arrived and the trespassers scattered and evaded capture, at least temporarily.

The caretaker wants to press charges in both incidents and police are investigating and anticipate arrests.
