Darien Police Bust Alleged Underage Drinking Party
The party was held after the Darien High School boys hockey team won its championship game, according to police.

DARIEN, CT- A Darien teen was issued an infraction after police busted an alleged underage drinking party on March 19.
Police got an anoymous tip that an underage drinking party was taking place on Allwood Road. Officers responded and several youths in a driveway scattered upon seeing them.

Officers approached the residence and could see several more youths inside from an open door, according to police. About 40 youths ran from the basement of the home as police entered.

Police observed several beer cans, a ping pong table, Jell-O shots and empty beer cases along with bottles of vodka.
Officers' authority to enter the home and wasn't cooperative, according to police.
His brother who wasn't charged told police the party was being held to celebrate the hockey championship victory and was originally supposed to be for 30 people, police said. He claimed the party goers provided the alcohol.
Eventually the teens' mother showed up. Youths who remained at the home were picked up by their parents.
The teen was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor on private property.
