Darien Police Chief: No Apology Due for Stop of Black Bicyclist
A video of the interaction went viral. Police say that it was normal police business, but the bicyclist alleges something wrong happened.

DARIEN, CT—Police Chief Duane Lovello said that a courteous and professional interaction between a police officer and a man on a bike doesn't warrant an apology.
A video of a black bicyclist being stopped in Tokeneke went viral and garnered more than 50,000 views on Youtube.
Bridgeport resident Matthew McGee said he was on his way to work at the Tokeneke Country Club when he was stopped by police. He never meant for the video to go viral, according to the Darien Times.

Police were investigating a recent nearby burglary and were in the process of canvassing the neighborhood for any possible information, according to police. McGee closely matched the description of a possible suspect.
