Darien Police Department: Darien Detective Ranks Top In Her Class

Det. Leslie Silva of the Darien Police Department graduated at the top of her class from the annual Fairfield County Detective Conference.

The Darien Police Department would like to congratulate Detective Leslie Silva for graduating top of her class at the 61st Annual Fairfield County Detective Conference! Detective Silva competed against 34 other Detectives representing 15 different Law Enforcement Agencies throughout Connecticut and placed first on the final exam and notebook project! The Fairfield County Detective Conference was established in 1962 to support the over thirty law enforcement agencies and now has supported Detectives and Officers throughout Fairfield County Connecticut and beyond ever since. Since its inception they have been hosting an annual two week long Detective School.

During this training program, Detectives compete in classes ranging from Interviewing, Narcotics, Legal Issues, Case management, Crime Scene, as well as Computer and Financial crimes, etc. The Fairfield County Detective Conference Executive Board stated, “Detective Leslie Silva of the Darien Police Department won First Place & Best Notebook for the 61st Annual Detective School! Your hard work and dedication to Detective School did not go unnoticed.
