From the Darien Police Department: On July 8, 2019 the Darien Police Department welcomed its newest member. Shortly after 3:00pm in a small ceremony on Monday, Police Commissioner Kim Huffard and Chief Ray Osborne swore in Bryce Brown as a probationary Police Officer. Bryce Brown was a member of the Bethel Police Department since December of 2017. He graduated from the CT Police Academy in June of 2018.

Officer Brown holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Western New England University and a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education from Sacred Heart University. Prior to his law enforcement career, he was a teacher at the high school level in Trumbull and Newington.

The Darien Police Department is fortunate to acquire an officer who already has the necessary training and certification as a police officer. Officer Brown will undergo a modified field training program and will be ready to begin patrol on his own in a matter of weeks. Brown began his training with the Darien Police Department this week. Welcome Officer Brown and good luck!
