Darien Police Department Welcomes New Officer Into The Ranks

The new officer was officially sworn in on Tuesday, according to the Darien Police Department.

DARIEN, CT — The Darien Police Department recently welcomed a new officer into the ranks.

Zachary Chantlos was sworn in Tuesday by Darien Police Commission Chairman Kim Huffard, and he was presented with his badge by Chief Don Anderson.

Chantlos has worked as a police officer for the past four years in Manchester, according to the DPD. He has a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Southern New Hampshire University.

Along with his law enforcement experience, Chantlos is also a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force Reserve and is stationed at the Westover Air Base in Chicopee, Mass. He serves as a financial technician and tactical combat casualty care instructor.
