Darien Police Honor Retiring Sergeant
Sgt. Keri Magowan recently retired after more than 20 years of service to the town.
DARIEN, CT — The Darien Police Department recently honored Sgt. Keri Magowan who retired on Sept. 1 after 24 years of service to the town.
Magowan's name and years of service were added to a brick on the department's "Wall of Honorable Service" at police headquarters. The honor is reserved fo those who honorably retire from the department after at least two decades.
"Sergeant Magowan; for your 24 years of dedicated and honorable service to the men and women of the Darien Police Department and to the Town of Darien as a whole, we offer our best wishes for a long, healthy and prosperous retirement," the department said in a Facebook post.

Magowan joined the DPD on Aug. 11, 2000 and served in the patrol division as a patrol officer, as well as a patrol supervisor for the last 13 years, the department said.
"Congratulations and best of luck on your next chapter!" the department added.
