Darien Police Investigate Car Fire in Woodland Park

The vehicle was stolen from Greenwich.

DARIEN, CT—Police are investigating after a vehicle stolen from Greenwich and apparently set on fire in Woodland Park Sunday night.

Neighbors called police about an object burning. They found a 2000 Subaru Forester engulfed in flames about 100 yards from Middlesex Road. Police put out a nearby brush fire and Noroton Heights Fire Department extinguished the car fire.

Darien Police, the Darien Fire Marshal's Office and the State Police Fire Marshal's Office are investigating.
The owner said the vehicle was locked and was stolen around midnight Aug. 24. The vehicle's keys were in the owner's possession.
