Darien Police Make DUI Arrest Following Accident
A three-vehicle accident ended in an arrest for a Darien woman.

DARIEN, CT- Police made a DUI arrest after a three-vehicle accident on April 16.
Offiers responded to the area of Middlesex Road and Noroton Avenue around 4:45 p.m. on a report of an accident. The accident started when Susan McGoldrick, 53, of Darien rear-ended another vehicle that was stopped at a traffic light, police said.
No injuries were reported.

An officer smelled alcohol on McGoldrick and she denied drinking.
She failed a field sobriety test and blood-alcohol tests came back with results of .11 and .10, both over the legal limit, according to police.

She later admitted to drinking alcohol before driving.
McGoldrick was charged with DUI and failure to keep a reasonable distance.
