Darien Police Offering 2023 Women's Rape Aggression Defense Program
The program is designed for the average person with no previous experience or background in physical skills training.

DARIEN, CT — Registration is open for the Darien Police Department's free 2023 Women's Rape Aggression Defense Program (RAD).
RAD is a 12-hour course sponsored by the Darien Domestic Abuse Council which provides female attendees with the basics of self-defense and situational awareness, as well as tools to prevent a sexual assault or kidnapping.
The program is designed for the average person with no previous experience or background in physical skills training. It will be taught by RAD-certified Darien police officers and combines classroom discussion and physical technical skills.

The skills learned will be demonstrated by students during a simulated "attack scenario" in a safe environment.
Scheduled dates for the course are Monday June 19; Wednesday, June 21; Monday, June 26; and Wednesday, June 28.
