Darien Police Rescue Elderly Man at Bottom of Pool
The man remains in critical condition.

DARIEN, CT — An elderly man remains in critical condition after he was rescued from the bottom of a pool on Meadowbrook Road Aug. 15.
Police responded around 4:30 p.m. and found the unresponsive victim in about six feet of water.
"It is unknown how long the victim was submerged however he was not breathing and had no pulse," said police spokesman Sgt. Jeremiah Marron Jr..

Police performed CPR, and Darien EMS arrived and took over. The victim was transported to Norwalk Hospital in critical condition.
