Update: Missing Darien Woman's Body Found

The woman's body was found after an extensive police search.

Update: Suzanne Strisser’s body and vehicle were found around 4 p.m. Jan. 2 in a remote section of Darien, police said.

There are no signs of foul play. The incident remains under investigation.

According to family members, Suzanne Stisser, 63, was last seen at her residence on Jan. 1.

Stisser is a former physical education teacher at Tokeneke School in Darien and retired in 2014, the Norwalk Hour reports. Stisser’s family has looked everywhere for her and are “very concerned” about her welfare, the news site reports.

The family is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading them to find Stisser, the Hour reports.

Stisser is described as having blonde hair, is 5-feet-8-inches tall and weighs 140 pounds. She left her Briar Brae Road residence at approximately 11 a.m. in a dark gray 2010 Subaru Forester with the CT Registration number 483-YTB.

The Darien Police Department is actively investigating this incident and is working with several other law enforcement agencies in an attempt to locate her.
