Darien Police Seize 100+ Grams Marijuana After Crash
The woman was charged with possession with intent to sell, a felony.

DARIEN, CT- A Stamford woman was arrested after police found about 113 grams of marijuana following an accident.
Police responded to an accident on Mansfield Avenue near Stephen Mather Road on May 16. Two vehicles had struck each other head-on in the northbound lane.
Lauren Curcio, 18, was traveling in the southbound lane and crossed into the northbound lane, police said.
She handed an officer a debit card then a credit card when she was asked for her licence. An officer smelled marijuana coming from within the vehicle and asked how much there was, police said.

Curcio handed over a large plastic bag that had four bags packaged with various amounts of marijuana, according to police. The total amount was 113.1 grams, which is .3 grams shy of four ounces. A scale was also found.
Curcio claimed the marijuana was for a friend at work and that she hadn't smoked since the previous night.
She turned herself in June 1 on an active arrest warrant. She was charged with possession of less than four ounces of marijuana, possession with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia.
