Darien Police Swear In New Officer
The Darien Police Department recently welcomed in a new officer.

DARIEN, CT — The Darien Police Department recently welcomed a new officer into the ranks.
Gabrielle Head was sworn in by Police Commissioner Brent Hayes, and she was presented with her badge by outgong Police Chief Don Anderson, according to an announcement from the department in a social media post.

Before coming to Darien, Head worked as a police officer for three years in Bloomfield. She was born in New Milford, and spent her earl years between Danbury and Fairfield, the DPD said.
Head graduated from Fairfield Ludlowe High School in 2013, and began her college careet at the University of Rhode Island. She later transferred to the University of Massachusetts Amherst, the DPD noted.

Head graduated from UMass amherst In 2017 with a bachelor's degree in English, a minor in IT and a professional writing and technical communication specialization.
After a several-year career in the corporate world, Head was hired by the Bloomfield Police Department and assigned to the patrol division in April 2021.
"Gabby is very excited to be the newest addition to the Darien Police Department and is looking forward to serving the Darien community for many years to come. Welcome and congratulations!!" the DPD said on Facebook.
