Darien 'Preppy Rapist' Alex Kelly a Skydiving Instructor

Kelly has filed paperwork to start his own skydiving business and recently bought a Cessna airplane.

Alex Kelly, the former Darien wrestling star turned jet-setting convicted rapist has reportedly spent his time as a skydiving instructor and is looking to purchase Ellington Airport.

Kelly, now 48, was accused of raping two teens in the 1980’s. He was convicted on two charges of first-degree sexual assault in 1997 and 1998 after fleeing the country and spending time in Europe before his trial. He was released from prison in 2007, according to state records.

Kelly became an instructor at the Connecticut Parachutists Inc. club in Ellington, according to the Connecticut Post. He did tandem jumps with men, but didn’t do them with women.

He left the club in 2014 after accusations of threatening a pilot and other incidents. He is now reportedly establishing his own skydiving business and is looking to buy Ellington Airport.
