Darien Public Schools Calendar For 2024-25: Key Dates To Know

DARIEN, CT — The end of summer is rapidly approaching for Darien students, and its once again time to prepare for the upcoming school year.

The first day of school in Darien Public Schools is Wednesday, Aug. 28.

Here are some of the other important 2024-25 school year dates to get on the calendar:

• Start date: Wednesday, Aug. 28.
• Labor Day, no school: Sept. 2.
• Rosh Hashanah, no school: Oct. 3
• Elementary parent conferences: Oct. 22-25. Snow date Oct. 29
• Staff professional development, no school for students: Nov. 5
• Thanksgiving recess: Nov. 27-29
• Holiday recess: Early dismissal on Dec. 20. Dec. 23-Jan. 1.
• Staff professional development, no school for students: Jan. 17
• Martin Luther King Jr. Day, no school: Jan. 20
• Presidents' Day/February recess: Feb. 17-21
• Staff professional development, no school for students: Feb. 24
• Elementary parent conferences: March 19-21. Snow date March 27
• Spring recess: April 14-18. Good Friday, April 18
• Memorial Day, no school: May 26
• Last day of school for students and teachers: June 13
