Darien Public Schools To Close Tuesday Due To Impending Storm

DARIEN, CT — Due to the forecast for heavy snow on Tuesday, Darien Public Schools will be closed, according to an announcement from the school district.

Additionally, Tuesday night's Board of Education meeting has been moved to Thursday, Feb. 15, at 7:30 p.m.

A winter storm warning is in effect for all of Connecticut. Snow, heavy at times, is expected in Darien mainly before 2 p.m. Tuesday, with totals projected between 5-9 inches, according to the National Weather Service forecast as of Monday evening.

Conditions are expected to be breezy with wind gusts as high as 33 mph, and wind chill values between 20 and 30 degrees.
