The school district has announced a decision on hours for Darien's public schools

Darien Public Schools administration has announced on the district website that schools will be closed early on Friday due to the weather.

Here’s the announcement from the Home page of the website:

“Weather alert: All Darien Public Schools will have an early dismissal on Friday, March 20. DHS at 12:20; MSX at 12:30; HIN, ROY, TOK at 1:00; HOL, OXR at 1:25”

  • Darien High School — dismissed at 12:20 p.m.
  • Middlesex Middle School — dismissed at 12:30 p.m.
  • Hindley School — dismissed at 1 p.m.
  • Royle School — dismissed at 1 p.m.
  • Tokeneke School — dismissed at 1 p.m.
  • Holmes School — dismissed at 1:25 p.m.
  • Ox Ridge School — dismissed at 1:25 p.m.

Trinity Catholic High School in Stamford will close at 11 a.m.

Snow is expected to fall during the day on Friday, particularly after noon.

In this area, these other public school districts have also announced early dismissal for Friday (according to the WFSB-TV “Closings and Delays” Web page): Norwalk, New Canaan, Stamford, Greenwich, Wilton, Weston, Easton and Ridgefield.
