Darien Range Rover Thieves Sentenced
The three tried to steal three Range Rovers valued at $150,000, but were foiled by Darien Police.
DARIEN, CT—Three Pennsylvania men were sentenced after they tried to steal $150,000 worth of Range Rovers from a Darien dealership.
The June 2015 incident resulted in the arrests of four men.
Anwar Carter was sentenced to 25 months in prison and Ernest Smith and Victor Strong were sentenced to 12 months, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Police noticed three males behind a restaurant at 54 Post Road on June 4 around 1 a.m. Another man emerged from a wooded area which borders a Land Rover dealership at 90 Post Road.
The men are accused of trying to cut an access hole in order to seal three Range Rovers valued in excess of $150,000.

Strong, Smith, and Carter are parolees with extensive criminal histories including First Degree Murder, Robbery, Escape, Aggravated Assault, Weapons Charges, Assault On A Police Officer, Auto Theft, and Narcotics Charges.
