Darien To Receive Money To Offset Early Voting Costs
The Darien Board of Selectmen held a special meeting last week.

DARIEN, CT —The Darien Board of Selectmen last week voted to authorize First Selectman Jon Zagrodzky to apply for certain state grants related to early voting.
"The state is giving about $10,500 I believe to every town to offset early voting costs. Registrars do have to put together a plan on how they're going to spend the money that we have to submit with the grant. They're working on that," explained Town Administrator Kate Buch.
Once the plan is set by the registrar's office, Darien will apply for the grant. Applications must be in by Dec. 31, Buch said.
