Darien Republican Voters Endorse Marks and Koons

Incumbent Susan Marks wasn't endorsed by the RTC, but came out on top during the caucus.

Republican voters decided that incumbent selectman Susan Marks deserves to be on the party ticket for November.

Marks wasn’t endorsed by the Republican Town Committee. She got 274 votes at the caucus, according to the Darien Times. Newcomer Charles “Kip” Koons got 231 votes while Spencer Mcllmurray got 59 and Joe Warren 41.

Marks said she looks forward to starting the campaign with Koons and that the outcome shows that voting does matter.

A primary is possible in September.
