Darien Residents Finish 2022 Boston Marathon

DARIEN, CT — Seven Darien runners competed in the 2022 Boston Marathon on Monday. Nearly 25,000 runners finished the marathon, including more than 350 from Connecticut.

Everett Hackett, 32, of Hartford was the top Connecticut runner at 50th place with an official time of 2:24:56. Laura Pierce, 40, of Woodbridge placed 127th among women and 2,251st overall with a time of 2:55:41.

Darien runner Benjamin Saunders, 48, finished the race with an official time of 2:50:52, according to the Boston Athletic Association. Stephen Kennedy, 46, finished with an official time of 2:53:38.

Heather Knight Pech, 60, of Darien, finished with an official time of 3:03:47. Justin Lubeley, 45, finished with an official time of 3:14:35.

Heidi Mitchell, 56, of Darien, finished with an official race time of 3:35:06. Courtney Reidy, 44, finished with an official time of 3:38:17, and Emily Thomas, 48, finished with an official time of 4:59:41.
