Darien 'Experiencing Significant Flooding' Tuesday: Update
Heavy rains are pelting the region and are expected to continue into the evening.

DARIEN, CT — The Post Road in Darien (Route 1) - underneath the railroad overpass - at Tokeneke Road is temporarily closed Tuesday afternoon due to flooding in the area, according to Darien police. When it will reopen was not disclosed.
According to First Selectman Jayme Stevenson, the town "is experiencing significant flooding," and additional roads in Darien are impassable.
Officials ask that motorists use alternate routes, and in general avoid driving through flooded streets.
