A proposal could mean fines for those who refuse to keep their property free of blighted conditions.

DARIEN, CT—The Darien Representative Town Meeting is working toward establishing a blight ordinance in order to enforce property owners to keep their homes out of decrepit condition.
The town has received numerous blight complaints over the years, but there is no ordinance for enforcement, according to the Darien Times.
