Darienite Named CEO of Acadian Asset Management

Franklin, who has been with the firm for 25 years, will take the reins from Ronald D. Frashure, current CEO of Acadian.

Darien's Churchill G. Franklin has been tapped to serve as the next CEO of Acadian Asset Management LLC, a Boston-based global equities manager.

According to a statement from Acadian, Franklin, a co-founder who has been with the firm for 25 years, will take the reins from current CEO Ronald D. Frashure. Frashure, in turn, is taking over for Chairman Gary L. Bergstrom, who announced plans to relinquish his chairmanship at the end of this year.

Frashure will officially transfer his role as CEO to Franklin on January 1, 2013. Bergstrom is expected to continue to serve the firm in a consultancy capacity.

John Chisholm, a 25-year veteran of the firm, will continue as chief investment officer.

“Churchill has helped to set Acadian’s strategic direction for the past two and a half decades, and he deserves much credit for our tremendous growth in assets under management, as well as the global expansion of our operations through affiliates in London and Singapore and a joint venture in Sydney,” Frashure said in the release.
