• Swimming: Erik Ryan of the Darien YMCA Piranha swim team will be representing the state at the Eastern Zone Age Group Championship meet in the 11-12 division. The meet takes place Wednesday through Sunday at Penn State University in State College.

Jake Greene, Tyler Gould, Steven Grune, Chris Weihs, Caroline Orem, and Liza Bragg represented the Piranhas at the super sectionals in Pittsburgh, which concluded on Saturday

The Piranhas' quartet of Greene, Grune, Gould and Weihs finished 16th in the 800-meter freestyle relay with a time of 8:11.37. Bragg was 34th in the women's 200-meter breaststroke (2:27.72).

• Triathlon: Darien's Hannah Goodrick, 15, was the top female finisher in the under-19 division in Sunday's 25th annual Greenwich Cup Triathlon.

Goodrick posted a time of 1:32.50, almost 13 minutes faster than her closest competitor in her age group.
