Still savoring Monday's 6-1 win over archrival New Canaan, theboys hockey team looks to start a winning streak on Friday when they Blue Wave hosts Notre Dame of West Haven at the Darien Ice Rink (1:50 p.m.)
The Blue Wave achieved a pair of milestones on Monday -- first win for new coach Chris Helwig and first victory over New Canaan for the current senior class.

Alec Foresta had two goals and Grayson Horan, Owen Koorbusch, Brendan Hathaway and Nick Bruno each scored once against the Rams.
Despite entering the New Canaan game winless, the Blue Wave (1-2) played well in their first two contests.

Their season-opening 2-0 loss to Hamden was a one-game goal game until the Green Dragons scored an empty-netter in the final seconds. Darien then had a three-goal leading before falling to West Haven 6-5 in overtime.
Still, Friday will be a tough test as Notre Dame of West Haven (3-0) has yielded only one goal in its first three wins. The Green Knights already have a pair of wins over FCIAC opponents -- New Canaan (3-0) and Greenwich (6-1).
