• Diving: Darien diver Elizabeth Fitzpatrick will be participating in the USA Diving AT & T Junior National Championships, which gets under way Friday in Knoxville, Tenn.
Earlier this month, she finished second in the 1-meter and fourth in the 3-meter in the 14-15 age at the summer zone championships in Rockville, Md.

Fitzpatrick competes for New Canaan-based Whirlwind Diving, which had nine members of its team qualify for the age group championships.
Earlier this week, Fitzpatrick won the 1-meter (270.95 points) and 3-meter (285.5) events in the Fairfield County championships at the Paterson Club.

Darien's Caylee Waters, diving for the Middlesex Club, was ninth in the 1-meter in the U-17 competition.
In the boys U-14, Middlesex's Carter Ashcroft was 10th on the 1-meter board and eighth in the 3-meter.
In the boys U-17 competition, Darien's Jake Bowtell won the 1-meter and 3-meter events.
Middlesex's Robbie Waters was sixth in the 1-meter and sixth in the 3-meter.
