Babe Ruth Baseball: Darien was eliminated from the District One 15-year-old Babe Ruth District One tournament following a 9-6 loss to Greenwich on Thursday. The 14s also were ousted following a 6-3 setback to Stamford on Thursday.
Darien's 13-year-olds did reach the district final and will play Stamford in the two out-of-three final. Stamford advanced to the final with a 7-0 win over Greenwich on Thursday.

All games in the two-out-of-three final will be played at Darien High School: Friday at 5:30 p.m. and Saturday at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. (if necessary).
Little League Baseball: Darien American (4-0) remained unbeaten in the District One 12-year-old Little League tournament with a 9-1 win over Norwalk on Thursday.

Darien National dropped to 2-3 in pool play following a 3-2 loss to Weston.
Wilton and Darien American have clinched the two semifinal playoff spots out of Pool B while Lione, North Stamford, Redding, Stamford American and Ridgefield American are battling for the two spots in Pool A.
Softball: Representing District One, the Darien 12-year-old softball team opened play in the sectional tournament Thursday with a 15-3 loss to District Three champion Seymour.
Darien is back in action on Friday against Fairfield at Unity 2 in Trumbull at 5:30 p.m.
Darien went 6-0 in District One play, outscoring its opponents by a 77-15 margin, including a 10-0 victory over Ridgefield in the title game on Sunday.
