Miceli starter Matthew Brewer struck out six through three innings, working out of a number of jams as Darien Donuts stranded seven runners.

After Quenten Ehlers relieved Brewer and blanked the Donuts in the fourth, Miceli added a pair of runs in the  bottom of the inning. Brian Seiter and Christian Pizzarelli walked and after a double steal, both scored on a groundout.

Ehlers also tossed a scoreless frame in the fifth and Miceli added its final run in the bottom half.

The Donuts' offense finally came alive in the sixth as hits by Nick Cardone and Parker McLane led to its two runs.

With the tying run at the plate, Draper Faulkner took over on the mound for Ehlers, who moved to first base and  caught a line drive for a key double play.  Faulkner then got the final batter on a strikeout to record the save.
