Darien Scores and Standings, June 9

Boys lacrosse: The Wilton boys lacrosse team on Wednesday, stunning the top-seeded Blue Wave 11-3 to advance to the championship game of the CIAC Class M state tournament.

Wilton ended Darien's six-year reign as state champions and also snapped a 26-game losing streak against the Blue Wave dating back to 1999.

Girls lacrosse: After watching the boys get stunned by Wilton in the first game of a doubleheader at Fairfield Ludlowe, the Darien girls did their part in the CIAC Class M semifinals.

Darien will face No. 2-seed Daniel Hand in the state finals Saturday at 1 p.m. at Stratford's Bunnell High School. Hand defeated East Lyme 12-9 in overtime to earn its spot in the final.
