Darien Selectmen Consider Train Station Parking Rate Hike
Currently parking at a Darien train station is among the cheapest options for New Haven line commuters.
DARIEN, CT—The Board of Selectmen is considering raising the daily parking rate to $4 and the annual permit to $400 at the train stations.
A monthly rate of $65 available through a daily parking app would bring the cost down to $3.10 a day under the proposal that is currently being debated, according to the Darien Times.
Parking at Noroton Heights and the Darien train stations are just $3 a day and are among the lowest on the New Haven line.
