Darien Selectmen To Hold Info Session On Storm Response, Flooding

DARIEN, CT — The Darien Board of Selectmen will hold a public information session on Oct. 3 to update residents on the town's storm response over the last year.

The hearing will take place during the regularly scheduled selectmen meeting that evening at 7 p.m. Key department heads and emergency personnel will share updates, focus on lessons learned, as well as offer basic preparedness steps residents and businesses can take now to guard against major storms and flood events.

The selectmen will also review the town's storm action plan, highlighting standard practices and maintenance throughout the year. The board will detail specific storm prep as an impending event approaches, mid-storm response and aftermath assistance and guidance.
