Darien Selectmen Schedule Public Hearing On Tipping Fees
Darien is looking for feedback on increasing specific tipping fees and residential dump permit fees.

DARIEN, CT — The town of Darien recently announced that the board of selectmen will be holding a public hearing on Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. in room 206 of town hall to get public input on increasing specific tipping fees and residential dump permit fees.
The town said in an announcement that as of July 1, Win Waste, formerly known as City Carting, increased hauling fees so the town is now operating at a per ton deficit. The town noted that rates were last reviewed in July 2013.
If rate increases are approved, the revised hauler fee would take effect with the sale of the 2024 fiscal year permits.
