Darien Shake Shack On Its Way: Report

Shake Shack has signed a lease and plans to open b late summer or early fall next year.

The Darienite reports that Shake Shack wants a sign that is two-feet high in front of the building, which is against current zoning regulations. Other businesses in towns have signs that are larger than normally allowed, usually through variances.

An informal presentation was given by a Shake Shack representative and David Genovese of Baywater Properties at the Planning and Zoning Commission.

Baywater Properties owns the site at 1340 Post Road that could become the restaurant.
