Darien Shake Shack Plan is Back
The burger restaurant is still looking at a potential Darien location.

DARIEN, CT- Shake Shack has put forward a new request before the Darien Zoning Board of Approvals for larger signs.
Shake Shack has included new arguments as to why it should be allowed to have signs larger than what is normally allowed in the area, according to the Darienite.

A sign expert wrote that some signs need to be large enough for drivers to read. Shake Shack is requesting signs that are 22 inches high. Shake Shack previously withdrew another application after it was rejected by ZBA

ZBA approved a large "Jaguar" sign across the street and officials said in that case the company made a strong case. The company argued the large sign was necessary for its branding.
