Darien Sidewalk Advisory Committee Seeks Public Input On Future Improvements
The committee was put together to help identify and prioritize sidewalk improvements across town.
DARIEN, CT — The Darien Board of Selectmen has established a Sidewalk Advisory Committee to help identify and prioritize sidewalk improvements throughout town, with an emphasis on improving access to schools, mass transit, parks and other areas with significant pedestrian traffic, and now the seven-member group is seeking input from the broader community.
The committee, which is made up of Darien residents, many with school-aged children, is using a scoring system designed to rank potential sidewalk projects based on data and public feedback.
The committee is currently collecting public input and holding public meetings.
