The Darien High School girls basketball team clinched a berth in the FCIAC playoffs on the last day of the regular season for the second straight year.
The reward for the eighth-seeded Blue Wave (11-7) is a trip to Danbury to take on the undefeated and top-seeded Hatters, who are 20-0. Game time is set for 2 p.m.
Darien officially clinched a playoff berth with a 73-17 victory over winless Bassick on Monday, although the Blue Wave essentially wrapped up a spot with a 49-42 win over Fairfield Warde on Monday.

As one of the top four seeds, Trumbull also earned the right to play a home game, but the site had to be changed because the school is hosting the Class LL wrestling state tournament this weekend.
