Darien Sushi Restaurant Served Mislabeled Tuna: Health Inspector

DARIEN, CT — Hibachi Sushi Ya is among two restaurants that received "C" rankings in the latest batch of health inspection reports.
The inspector remarked in a report that the restaurant used Escolar fish instead of white tuna for sushi with no disclaimer, according to the Darienite.
Escolar acts as a laxative for a number of people, according to the New York Times.

The inspection report also noted using fresh salmon and freezing it, but not within parameters to use as sushi and the presence of moths in the flour/rice area.
