Darien Teen Caught With Large Amount of Alcohol While Driving: PD

DARIEN, CT- A 19-year-old woman was found to be in possession of a large amount of alcohol in her vehicle, according to police.

A police officer hired by the Noroton Bay Property Owners Association was checking cars on private roads when a vehicle without a member decal passed by, according to the Darienite. The woman told the officer she was on the way to the Noroton Yacht Club and was allowed to pass.

The officer spotted beer cases in the vehicle and the vehicle was stopped again on its way back. She claimed not to know how four 30-packs of beer, two handles of vodka and two bottles of wine got in the vehicle. She was issued a summons.
