Darien Teen Found Passed Out on Yard, Party Host Charged

A severely intoxicated teenager found passed out on a Darien lawn was taken to the hospital and led police to discover an alleged underage drinking party.

Police were called around 3 a.m. August 13 to Hecker Avenue for a report of a female sleeping on a lawn. Officers located the 18-year-old woman in the shoulder of the eastbound travel lane. She was curled up and asleep.

The teen was so intoxicated that at first she was unable to form words, police said.

EMS was summoned to the scene and her father was called and arrived as well. Two of her friends also arrived on scene and said they were trying to find her after she wandered off from a party. They too had been drinking.

The 18-year-old woman was transported to Stamford Hospital.

Ultimately it was disclosed that they came from a party on Harbor Road about one mile from where the girl was found.

Police went to the residence to perform a safety check and found eight people sleeping. Most of them were underage and one girl was 21-years-old.

There was evidence a large party took place, police said.

The 19-year-old resident was arrested and charged with providing alcohol to minors.
