Darien Volleyball Advances With 3-1 Win Over Ludlowe
The top-seeded Blue Wave (22-0) will host Glastonbury in the quarterfinals on Tuesday.
The Darien girls volleyball team started Saturday's Class LL second-round match by losing the first game against Farfield Ludlowe.
Counting a sweep to East Lyme in last year's state final, it meant that the Blue Wave had dropped their last four sets in the state tournament.
But Darien shook off the slow start Saturday to post a 3-1 victory (19-25, 25-22, 25-15, 25-20) over the Falcons at Darien High School.
